Consultation - Grant Application Nursery Provision at Wyvil Primary School

High-quality early education is essential for giving every child the best start in life and transforming their life chances, enhancing their readiness for primary school and improving their socio-emotional development. 

School-based nurseries play a crucial role in the early years sector, they help establish and build relationships between families and schools ahead of compulsory education and offer convenience for parents with other children already attending the primary school.

Wyvil Primary School will be applying for a Department for Education Grant to repurpose existing space in the school building, so that it is more suitable as a school based nursery, including planned renovations and refurbishments to the existing school building which will support new and improved nursery provision. This will include work to support the children at Wyvil Primary School with Special Educational Needs.

If the application is successful then we will aim for the new and improved provision to be in place by September 2025.
